Bringing Medication into Viet Nam

Narcotic medication drugs must be declared to customs and must not exceed the quantity stated in the enclosed doctor's prescription, but not more than the quantity indicated for seven days.

Psychotropic medication drugs or medication containing precursors used as drugs must be declared to customs and must not exceed the quantity stated in the enclosed doctor's prescription, but not more than the quantity indicated for ten days.

13 countries that are unilaterally exempted from visas

Visa requirements are exempted for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland and Republic of Belarus with a temporary residence duration of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type, purpose of entry, provided that all entry conditions according to Vietnamese law are met.

TOURIST VISA

For e-visa please go to the website of the Vietnamese Immigration Department https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn to apply. All enquiries will need to be made directly to this website (or https://xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/en/gioi-thieu/contact) as the Embassy is not related to the process.

For existing application to https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn, the Embassy can not answer any question regarding the progress.

WARNING:

There has been a cluster of complaints from both Australian and foreign visitors that the online visa applications via unauthorized and/or untrustworthy websites cause a lot of inconvenience. Sometimes they can not board on the plane or be denied entry and pay a fine because of fake visas.

For reasons as such, travelers and businesses to Viet Nam are strongly recommended to apply for the visas before departure.

Lễ viếng Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh tại Australia

Tại Australia, vào 10 giờ sáng 3/5 theo giờ địa phương, Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Australia đã tổ chức lễ viếng và mở sổ tang nguyên Chủ tịch nước, Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh.
Bắt đầu lễ viếng, Đại sứ Ngô Hướng Nam cùng toàn thể cán bộ, nhân viên Đại sứ quán và thân nhân, cùng các cán bộ thuộc các cơ quan bên cạnh Đại sứ quán đã dành một phút mặc niệm nguyên Chủ tịch nước Lê Đức Anh.
Thay mặt cán bộ nhân viên Đại sứ quán, Đại sứ Ngô Hướng Nam ghi sổ tang: “Đại tướng mất đi để lại bao niềm thương tiếc trong lòng nhân dân Việt Nam và bạn bè quốc tế. Toàn thể cán bộ, nhân viên Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Australia xin kính cẩn nghiêng mình trước anh linh Đại tướng và nguyện nỗ lực học tập tinh thần làm việc, cống hiến của Đại tướng, góp phần phát triển đất nước Việt Nam ngày càng giàu đẹp.”
Đại diện các đoàn ngoại giao, bà con Việt kiều, đại diện cộng đồng du học sinh Việt Nam tại Canberra cũng đã vào viếng và ghi sổ tang.
Có mặt tại lễ viếng từ rất sớm, Đại sứ Cộng hòa Dân chủ Nhân dân Lào tại Australia Sisavath Inphachanh cùng đoàn cán bộ bày tỏ niềm thương tiếc Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh.
Ông Inphachanh viết: “Thay mặt Đại sứ quán Lào tại Canberra, tôi xin bày tỏ lời chia buồn sâu sắc nhất tới Đảng, Chính phủ và nhân dân Việt Nam, cùng toàn thể gia quyến Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh về sự mất mát to lớn này. Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh đóng vai trò quan trọng trong sự phát triển của Việt Nam, góp phần xây dựng tình hữu nghị, đặc biệt là tình đoàn kết, hợp tác toàn diện giữa hai nước Việt Nam và Lào.”
Các đại diện của Đại sứ quán Philippines, Đại sứ quán Cuba, Đại sứ quán Áo, Đại sứ quán Libya, Đại sứ quán Ethiopia, Đại sứ quán Bangladesh, Đại sứ quán Singapore, cùng một số cơ quan ngoại giao các nước khác tại Australia cũng đã đến chia buồn và ghi sổ tang nguyên Chủ tịch nước, Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh.
Cũng trong ngày, Tổng Lãnh sự quán Việt Nam tại Sydney và Tổng lãnh sự quán Việt Nam tại Perth đã tổ chức trang trọng lễ viếng và mở sổ tang nguyên Chủ tịch nước, Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh. Các các bộ, nhân viên Tổng Lãnh sự quán cùng các cơ quan đại diện khác của Việt Nam tại Sydney, đại diện Tổng lãnh sự quán các nước, đông đảo bạn bè Australia và quốc tế và bà con Việt kiều đã tới viếng, ghi sổ tang, gửi lời chia buồn sâu sắc tới gia đình của nguyên Chủ tịch nước, Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh cũng như toàn thể nhân dân Việt Nam.
Lễ viếng và mở sổ tang nguyên Chủ tịch nước, Đại tướng Lê Đức Anh tại các cơ quan đại diện ngoại giao của Việt Nam tại Australia diễn ra đến hết ngày 3/5./.
