Overseas remittances to reach US$6.8 billion in 2009

The Ministry of Finance has forecasted that the total amount of money sent by overseas Vietnamese to back home would reach US$6.8 billion by year’s end, US$0.4 billion less than last year.

Early this year, the figure was first projected to drop by 15-20 percent to US$5.8-6 billion.
