Bringing Medication into Viet Nam

Narcotic medication drugs must be declared to customs and must not exceed the quantity stated in the enclosed doctor's prescription, but not more than the quantity indicated for seven days.

Psychotropic medication drugs or medication containing precursors used as drugs must be declared to customs and must not exceed the quantity stated in the enclosed doctor's prescription, but not more than the quantity indicated for ten days.

13 countries that are unilaterally exempted from visas

Visa requirements are exempted for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland and Republic of Belarus with a temporary residence duration of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type, purpose of entry, provided that all entry conditions according to Vietnamese law are met.

TOURIST VISA

For e-visa please go to the website of the Vietnamese Immigration Department https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn to apply. All enquiries will need to be made directly to this website (or https://xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/en/gioi-thieu/contact) as the Embassy is not related to the process.

For existing application to https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn, the Embassy can not answer any question regarding the progress.

WARNING:

There has been a cluster of complaints from both Australian and foreign visitors that the online visa applications via unauthorized and/or untrustworthy websites cause a lot of inconvenience. Sometimes they can not board on the plane or be denied entry and pay a fine because of fake visas.

For reasons as such, travelers and businesses to Viet Nam are strongly recommended to apply for the visas before departure.

1. Đại sứ quán và Tổng lãnh sự quán tại Sydney, Tổng lãnh sự quán tại Perth xin thông báo lịch trình (dự kiến) của chuyến bay hồi hương tiếp theo như sau:

- Ngày khởi hành: 20/8/2020 và 28/8/2020

- Hành trình: Sydney - Melbourne - Việt Nam

Công dân tự chịu chi phí vé máy bay và được yêu cầu cách ly tập trung 14 ngày sau khi nhập cảnh theo quy định.

CHÚ Ý:

Đây là đợt ĐĂNG KÝ BỔ SUNG, những người đã đăng ký các chuyến bay ngày 03/07/2020, 13/7/2020 và 07/8/2020 KHÔNG CẦN PHẢI ĐĂNG KÝ LẠI.

2. Công dân được ưu tiên xét duyệt cho hai chuyến bay này là những người đã đăng ký về trong các chuyến bay trước đây và đáp ứng các điều kiện ưu tiên xét duyệt theo quy định của Chính phủ.

Công dân đã có thường trú nhân (PR) hoặc quốc tịch Úc chưa phải đối tượng ưu tiên được về nước lần này. Ngoài ra, đây là đối tượng hạn chế xuất cảnh của phía Úc.

3. Cách thức đăng ký (Chỉ dành cho công dân CHƯA đăng ký các chuyến bay ngày 03/7/2020; 13/7/2020 và 07/8/2020):

Bước 1: đăng nhập vào tài khoản google account của bạn;

Bước 2: truy cập vào ĐÂY để điền thông tin và đăng tải đơn trình bày hoàn cảnh cùng các giấy tờ khác.

Thời hạn đăng ký đến 17h00 Chủ nhật ngày 09/8/2020 (giờ Sydney)

Chú ý:

- Tất cả hồ sơ chỉ được coi hợp lệ khi có "Đơn trình bày hoàn cảnh" đính kèm.

- Đề nghị công dân chỉ đăng ký 1 lần với 1 số hộ chiếu. Trong lần đăng ký trước, nhiều công dân đã đăng ký 2-3 lần, gây nhầm lẫn trong khi xét duyệt.
