- Documents issued by foreign authorities to be recognized and used in Viet Nam.
- Documents was authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia (DFAT).
- Sample of seal and signature of DFAT official was introduced to the Embassy of Viet Nam
- Documents are not ones which do not meet conditions for legalzation or are exempted from legalization.

1/ Yêu cầu cụ thể đối với giấy tờ, tài liệu đề nghị hợp pháp hóa lãnh sự (viết tắt là HPHLS):
Requirements for documents to be legalized
- Là giấy tờ, tài liệu của nước ngoài để được công nhận và sử dụng ở Việt Nam. Documents issued by foreign authorities to be recognized and used in Viet Nam.
- Giấy tờ, tài liệu đề nghị được HPHLS phải đã được Bộ Ngoại giao Australia chứng nhận trước.
Documents was authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia (DFAT).
- Mẫu con dấu, mẫu chữ ký và chức danh của các cơ quan và người có thẩm quyền của nước ngoài phải được giới thiệu trước cho Đại sứ quán.

- Không thuộc các trường hợp: (1) Không được HPHLS hoặc (2) Miễn HPHLS (xin xem phần Lưu ý dưới đây).

- Đơn đề nghị hợp pháp hoá lãnh sự - Application form (theo mẫu tải tại đây - download here);
- Bản chụp giấy tờ tùy thân (chứng minh nhân dân, hộ chiếu, giấy thông hành).

- 01 phong bì có ghi rõ địa chỉ người nhận (nếu hồ sơ gửi qua đường bưu điện và yêu cầu gửi trả qua đường bưu điện). A return self-addressed envelop (express or registered).
- Lệ phí (fee)
* Trường hợp cần kiểm tra tính xác thực của giấy tờ, tài liệu nêu trên, cán bộ tiếp nhận hồ sơ có thể yêu cầu xuất trình bổ sung bản chính giấy tờ, tài liệu có liên quan và nộp 01 bản chụp giấy tờ, tài liệu này.
3/ Cách thức nộp hồ sơ và trả kết quả:
Nộp hồ sơ hoặc trả kết quả có thể thực hiện trực tiếp tại Đại sứ quán hoặc qua bưu điện.
4/ Thời hạn giải quyết:
- 04 ngày làm việc kể từ ngày cơ quan có thẩm quyền giải quyết nhận đủ hồ sơ hợp lệ. Processing time 04 working day from the date of receiving sufficient documents.
- Trường hợp hồ sơ có số lượng từ 10 giấy tờ, tài liệu trở lên thì thời hạn giải quyết có thể dài hơn nhưng không quá 05 ngày làm việc.
- Trường hợp mẫu con dấu, mẫu chữ ký và chức danh của cơ quan và người có thẩm quyền chứng nhận lãnh sự nước ngoài chưa được chính thức thông báo hoặc cần kiểm tra tính xác thực, Đại sứ quán sẽ đề nghị cơ quan có thẩm quyền của nước ngoài xác minh. Ngay sau khi nhận được kết quả xác minh, Đại sứ quán giải quyết hồ sơ và trả kết quả cho đương sự./.
