APEC 2017: Deputy PM Minh receives Australian FM

NDO/VNA – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh had a bilateral meeting with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop who is in Vietnam for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in Da Nang city on November 8.

Bishop extended sympathy to victims of typhoon Damrey, while speaking highly of the Government of Vietnam’s efforts in overcoming the consequences from the storm and ensuring best conditions for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.

Vietnam, Australia strive to lift bilateral ties to new height

NDO/VNA – The Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Ngo Huong Nam has paid a courtesy call on Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop.

At the meeting, the Vietnamese diplomat noted that the two countries have strived to raise their bilateral relations to a new height and promised to contribute further to the process.

Australian Senate speaker delights at progress of ties with Vietnam

NDO/VNA – Australian President of the Senate Stephen Parry has expressed his delight at the strong development in the Vietnam-Australia relations in recent years, laying a solid ground for the two sides to upgrade their ties in the future.

Parry made the statement during his meeting on October 19 with Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Ngo Huong Nam in Canberra, adding that he highly appreciates the upcoming visit by Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

Bộ Tài chính và Bộ Ngân khố Úc ký biên bản ghi nhớ hợp tác

Chiều ngày 20/10/2017, trong khuôn khổ Hội nghị Bộ trưởng Tài chính APEC 2017 (FMM 2017), Bộ trưởng Bộ Tài chính Đinh Tiến Dũng đã tiếp ông Scott John Morrison, Bộ trưởng Bộ Ngân khố Úc và ký biên bản ghi nhớ hợp tác (MOU).

Việt Nam, Australia hold foreign affairs, defence strategic dialogue

SYDNEY — The fifth foreign affairs and defence strategic dialogue at the deputy ministerial level between Việt Nam and Australia was organised in Canberra on Wednesday. 
The event was chaired by Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Đặng Đình Quý and Australia’s Deputy Secretary, Defence People Rebecca Skinner and Deputy Secretary in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Gary Quinlan.
