Press Release

PRESS RELEASE

1.  Regarding reports in Australian media about Australian cattle allegedly being killed by sledgehammer in Viet Nam, Vietnamese relevant authorities are working closely with Australian side and began investigation. We believe that  appropriate punishment measures will be taken in accordance with Vietnamese law and regulations if it is a case.

2. Viet Nam is fully aware of the importance of humane treatment to animals and it's clearly reflected in the veterinary law and other regulations of Viet Nam. For cattle imported from Australia, approved abattoirs in Viet Nam have to strictly comply with Australian Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System and other requirements agreed by relevant authorities of the two countries.

3. Viet Nam and Australia have conducted very good trade on live cattle for a period of time on the basis of law and regulations of each side, for the interests of not only Vietnamese consumers but also Australian farmers.
